Hope in Sweat
I wear orange shoes and a bandana.
I run, lift, do yoga and meditate.
I eat plants.
This is my life, unapologetically lived one blessed day at a time. I’m not a professional athlete. I’m not an expert on exercise or nutrition. I'm a man who suffers from depression, but has faith in a tireless pursuit of full-life fitness.
I wasn't always this optimistic, though.
Modern men are powder kegs because of stress. We tell ourselves happiness comes from working harder and grinding our teeth through one more day. In the rush of a non-stop world, guys ignore their wellbeing.
For men, neglecting our wellbeing puts us behind the curb in getting help, strengthening our minds and making long-lasting friends. Not to mention the negative health effects. Males are more likely than women to feel lower life satisfaction, use drugs and commit suicide.
I broke through this self-destructive cycle by finding mindfulness through movement. Sweat salvation connected me to God and taught me to love those around me, as well as myself.
Hope in Sweat is a holistic health movement empowering men to take control of their mental and physical wellbeing.
Blog posts and a weekly newsletter offer lessons from my life, as well as insights from experts in the fields of exercise, mental health and nutrition. Hope in Sweat helps you build habits to conquer stress, move more and maximize happiness.
By joining the movement, you enter a community of men empowered to conquer our most prized possession: Life.
